I offer:

· Face-to-face, in-person Counselling and Psychotherapy (therapy) sessions in Leeds (LS1) and Ilkley (LS29).

How might Therapy help me?

Life can be predictably unpredictable and can throw us any number of challenges at a given time. It can take a lot of courage to acknowledge that you might want to access emotional support.  Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a dedicated, confidential space for you to reflect, make sense of your individual experience and come to know yourself more intimately. It can be a place of self-discovery and a place to consider your coping strategies.

Therapy can help you:

  • Develop greater understanding of your difficulties or a particular issue.
  • Offer someone impartial with specialist training to listen whilst you speak about your concerns.
  • Develop self-awareness.
  • Understand and express your emotions.
  • Manage anxiety and stress.
  • Feel more comfortable asking for help and support.
  • Understand patterns of behaviour in relationships.
  • Understand and recognize self-sabotaging  impulses and behaviours.
  • Develop self-confidence, particularly with asserting your boundaries.
  • Develop healthier coping strategies.
  • Process loss, grief and traumatic experiences.
  • Develop more compassion and self-acceptance.
  • Explore dilemmas and gain support whilst decision-making.
  • Explore the impact of intersectional difference and diversity.
  • Talk about sensitivity to rejection or feelings of abandonment.

My hope is that by working collaboratively, we can create a space that feels safe enough for you to acknowledge and explore your emotional world, as well as all parts of yourself. My aim is to work transparently with you whilst getting to know and value you as a unique individual. I endeavour to offer you acceptance and to support you to flourish and thrive.

I trust that with the right level of support, each individual coming to therapy can find a way to utilize their resources, move through difficulties, and move towards a more authentic way of being.

Come as you are.
