I am trained in Relational Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Whilst the core of my therapeutic work is inspired by the Person-Centred Approach (also known as person-centred counselling), the foundation of my work with each client is built on working collaboratively to create a safe space and a trustful and respectful therapeutic relationship. I work with the aim of being sensitive and responsive to your individual needs.
Personal and professional experience tells me that people have fluctuating support needs and thus, want and need different things from therapy at different times.
Whilst I work from a person-centred core, I aim to bring both support and compassionate challenge to our work so that you can make the most of therapy and implement the changes that you desire that are within your control.

I view different therapy modalities as different lenses (so to speak) through which we can gain an understanding of difficulties and areas of challenge. Sometimes it can be useful to consider our relational patterns and our ways of being in the world from another perspective.
I work integratively by drawing on theory, concepts and techniques from a range of theoretical approaches, blending aspects that might be helpful for you. The Person-Centred Approach, Psychodynamic therapy, Existentialism, compassion focused therapy (CFT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) are examples of therapeutic modalities that have influenced my therapeutic practice.
